I was just in a car accident

I just got in a car accident about an hour ago with my mom, the car is totaled. We were stopped at a stoplight and got rear ended by a guy doing like 60, and the entire back of our car is smashed in, so we will probobly get a new car. I seem to be okay, I'm not in very much pain, my neck is a little stiff, and my mom hit her ribs on the stearing wheel so she's getting checked at the ER right now. I've never been in a car accident before. If you have ever seen those Jetta commercials where they get in a car accident, it was like, that, totally freaky. Heart is pounding still. It's not very fun let me tell you that much.

I just needed to talk about it to calm myself down a little bit. The guy who hit us messed up his back really bad, we slammed into somebody in front of us after we got hit. Luckily there were plenty of witnesses, they all said he was doing about 50 or 60.

Scary Stuff.

Count your blessings that you're alive! ...and make sure to follow up with a checkup for whiplash and treatment for it by a chiropractor. I have a friend who got rear-ended several years ago and suffered minor whiplash, but still feels the effects of it lingering on to this date.

Glad to hear your alright and hope your mom checks out OK! Cars can be replaced!
