Well I was at the show today too and the weather really killed everything. The Thunderbirds orbited for about 10 minutes discussing the weather and deciding what to do. Eventually they settled on four delta passes due to the three mile visibility in the haze. I can certainly see why they called off the show, you couldn't see them until they were right on top of you. Later on they carried the bottom-up pass directly over part of the GA crowd, which was definitely very cool.

Yeah
I went on Sunday, it rained hard in the early show.
The Thunderbirds had a low show. I got to see the Delta opening break, loved that
They had no loops. They had some cool things though.
1: Arrow head roll
2: Echelon Pass in Review
3: After the delta came above for the opening, the diamond went into a turn.
4: TWO SNEAK PASSES!!!!
The cut sunday's show short also.
Oh well, I got to hear them though!
Always Next Year!

All part of the "Low Show" profile! Sounds like a good show considering the wx circumstances.Airshow fan wrote:They had no loops. They had some cool things though.

It was indeed a low show, but it was cut short due to visibility issues again. I ended up taping both days, now I've just got to go through the footage.Lawndart wrote:All part of the "Low Show" profile! Nice work Tomcatboy! Thanks for sharing.
Anyone notice during the Bon-Ton Roulle how early No. 3 rolled and the insane amount of bobbling No. 1 had when stopping his roll (hard not to notice). Phew! All maneuvers except the Bon-Ton looked sharp under the cloud deck though.
Btw, Tomcatboy the Bon-Ton is the name of the simultaneous aileron rolls and in case you're wondering the echelon pass is referred to as a Trail-Banana.

I knew about the Bon-Ton, but I figured I'd make the title a bit more descriptive. Didn't know about the Trail Banana pass though, that one will be getting changed soon.Lawndart wrote:Btw, Tomcatboy the Bon-Ton is the name of the simultaneous aileron rolls and in case you're wondering the echelon pass is referred to as a Trail-Banana.
