Nice F-15 landing!

Post by STRIKER » Tue Aug 29, 2006 8:26 pm

omg. seriously are you guys that retarded, you can't put down the damn tailhook on the ground if you are expecting to drag and damage it by running it along the concrete runway..........the F-4 Phantom was designed to be in the USN and therefore had a hook for carrier landings,,,,,,, i swear you all gotta open your eyes and look at the navy for once. The only planes that have and did have a tailhook are the F2H Banshee, F4D Skyray, F-4B Phantom II, F-14A-D Tomcat, F/A-18A-C Hornet, F/A-18-E/F, E2 AWAC's, and a naval tanker. The USAF DOES NOT have fighter's with tailhooks therefore NO carrier landings and you can't use them for emergany's on the ground considering your already there! otherwise you drag or break them on the runway!!!!!!! USAF planes won't ever be able to land on a carrier anyways mostly because their not DESIGNED for it.

Hate to drag old threads but this is a great addon I found at lockon.ru.....since there are no tailhooks on any USAF aircraft right Tailhook (errrr Viper) HEHEHE

I don't know...kinda looked like a tailhook to me

...hope it didn't get damaged by dragging it on the concrete runway - that would be way worse than loosing an aircraft

And as if we needed more evidence for the "Tailhook" subject, look at what is holding this F-15 from flying off by itself...

Nice find..but im sure some 'tard would just argue that aircraft was just a one-off used for testing...lol

BTW, can we refer to that "other thread" as the "Tailhook Scandal"?

I can show you a whole fleet of Australian F-111's with tail hooks if you like. I don't remember the US Navy operating the "Pig" of carriers. One recently did a gear up landing at RAAF base Amberley after mechanical problems. It caught the wire at about 3 feet - check out pics and vid at www.f-111.net
