That's like 10 times better than lomac!!! As the XSI Vice President said himself: "No other sim has even attempted to come close to touching the depth our Flight Model guys are going, but we'll let the end-users make the comparisons once they have it in their hands. And I agree. The flight models are totally awesome as well.

Estimated release date is the 3rd or 4th quarter of 2006. So basically late 2006 (October - December). Keep in mind that's just a guestimate and not an actual date.

FO will be released in modules, so the entire game won't hit the shelf with the initial release. Last I heard was late 2006, early 2007 for the first module to be released.

Rgr that LD, and the part that sucks for us Sailors, is the Naval ops is one of the later modules... :? Still gonna be sweet though.

C'mon.... The brains of the Armed Forces is all in the Navy and Marines. We get to play the MANS version of the simulator. :D  We visually land Tomcats and Hornets on a pitching deck at 2400 local with bad WX. Air Force and Army needs...ILS.... You say poor sailors, I say poor them.... 8)

(( This is only some affectionate dissing on landlubbers, AF and Army. No disrespect intended. Note: Comment from VERY Navy guy. :D ))

Umm, I think I'm gonna sit out on this one. I don't need to be reminded of what happened last time I had this discussion :? .

The release dates that have been quoted here were very early release date guesstimates to give you guys a rough idea what we were aiming for.

Quite a few threads on the FO boards about this plus a few more detailed comments from Buckshot on the latest.
