Im sure somebody from here will be at the shuttle launch im gonna go and watch it this time around, nice 3 hour drive. This will be one of the last shuttle flight done by nasa as the shuttle is to be discontinued in 4 years, if you have never seen a shuttle launch and/or landing id advise you to do so, after this one the next launch will be next year some time.

If it's scheduled for an afternoon launch again, don't get your hopes up. I've been flying in and out of MCO all week and the afternoon thunderstorms have been quite frequent. Today they gave a 60% chance for a no-go and as you know they scrubbed it. If NASA has the option (given orbit alignments with the ISS and the return to earth window), I don't understand why they insist on an afternoon launch in the "thunder capital of the world", especially during peak storm hours?! Summer time and thunderstorms in Florida is like clockwork. Chances are high for another scrub as long as it's in the afternoon, but I hope they make it off the pad! Definitely worth seeing one if you haven't done it already. Either from the river side of the Indian River or Port Canaveral (where the cruise ships port) with a clear view across the water to the launch pad about 5 miles away. Just take 528 towards Cocoa Beach and once you get across to the ship terminal exit, drive up the bend where everyone else will be parked along the road for a great view as close as you can get nowadays. The rumble that follows the launch is quite an experience in itself too! Hope you get to enjoy it!

hehe. I forgot they were launching it up there. They were going to shoot it up today, but they are going to do it on July 4th! (That is a rocket lol) Witch one are they going to launch?

Oh and Port canaveral is AWESOME!!! I went on a Disney Cruise in 2005. Went on the Disney Wonder to Nassau and their private Island. It was gread riding on a 368 million dollar Cruise Ship. Great Cruse. Off the ship (in the port) we could see the Space Center.

Hey thanks LD we are taking your advice on this one of where to watch the launch, pray that it takes off today, if it does ill have a video for you all
