Screen Recorder

Post by lqcorsa » Sat Jun 17, 2006 3:05 am

Hey,

I'm looking for a screen recorder where I can record in game video and have my mouse, or possibly a pointer visible at the same time, sort of like the training videos in lock-on have. I have the registered version of fraps, but its a laggy program witch doesn't support any pointers. I need a pointer because I'm making a tutorial video in lomac for a friend of mine, and it's hard to show him stuff when I just say "LOOK, RIGHT THERE WHERE MY MOUSE IS POINTING!!, and he can't see where it's pointing. Anybody willing to share a non-lagged program that supports pointers is welcome to reply!

i think that fixes the pointer problem, but surely not the lag problem but got an idea, why dont u record a track, then play it slower 1 time by pressing alt a on lomac, then boost it to 2x on your video editor ???... that might work.

durr but I'm talking about game-play. You cant move your mouse. Unless theres some other option. Dont worry about it anymore I'm gonna let him figure out the plane on his own. . I've tryed to teach him several times!!! Oh well. He fly's the A-10, maybe if I gave him a A-10 cockpit in all of his planes then he'd figure it out a little bit.

PS: I got to ride in a Huey at the airshow today :D :D :P :P

From the keycommands.doc file located in the Doc folder of Lock-On:

Alt-0 Record On or Off the place of cursor in the track

I'm not sure whether you have to have mouselook=false in the view.lua in order for this to work, but there is a way to have a pointer or cursor in game while flying or recording tracks for tutorials.
