My Name is James (Jim) Crichton;
First I would like to say,that I am so happy that I found this site,and the Thunder Birds.I have been wanting to be involved in something like this for a long time,and even more so when I had seen a vid of the Russian Aerobatics team.I actually got a tear in my eye.
I am a retired Mech.Eng.but still do some contract work , served 10 yrs in the Air Force.Aviation has been a big part of my life,since the days when I rode my bicycle down slides,with a tin can on my face pretending it was a oxygen mask.LOL
I spend a lot of time flying on vatsim to the tune of 3Khrs+.
Currently I fly for Delta/BAW/SWand Exec.Jet.
I joined the vUSAF and completed all the training up to my last T-38 check ride,in order to move into the F-16 program.
It was so hard to get an IP,I waited for about 6 wks and just could not make a connection with one.so that ended my short lived career in the VUSAF.
I am the type that loves challenge,in both my Real World life,and on line flying.I set my goals high,then they become a bit of an addiction with me until I reach them.
