In Lock On/Config/joyrange.cfg you can change the dots per axis. The default setting is 400dpa but tests prove it is best to change that to around 3000dpa. Then you will have more "points" in your joystick range to control! So that means a smoother joystick feeling especially important with formation flying! The second thing he adviced is to change "ForceFeedbackEnabled = true;" to ForceFeedbackEnabled = false;" in Lock On/Config/producer.cfg. ForceFeedbackEnabled forces your computer to make more, not needed, calculations which can couse hickups or joystick lags.
I found the controls like suspected much smoother and less bouncy, i don't know if you know this, if you don't well here you have it.

Great that some people can't shut their mouth. Who gave you this info Silverone? The leader of the Illusion Aerobatic Team, zaGURUinzaSKY, I guess? I thought I was doing him a favour but he didn't respect that the founder of this "=RvE=--AS--" asked to only share it with fellow aerobatic pilots. I think this is more like personal that he did this, these kind of things are the reason why I left the Illusion Aerobatic Team.
Anyway, now it is an open source, here you can find the topic zaGURUinzaSKY started.

Frazer,

I understand where you are coming from but I can only hope that you dont take this into a sort of witch hunt to figure who the culprit is in your mind. It out and its a shame that the aerobatic community couldn't come together and take pride that it's ours only. I take great pride in knowing that the Virtual Thunderbirds can always be trusted to these matters and I would hope that this issue on who done it and where is finished. I would recommend any further effort to be done through PM's since nobody wants escallation in our forum let alone anyone else's. I consider you a great aerobatic pilot Frazier and thank you for your continued support in the aerobatic community.

I know lots of these, yes I did rip it off??? Why any problems? Well I didn't know these "unfair advantages" were secret and confidential, it is these kind of things that unhonour any kind of team, knowing that they are using "unfair advantages". Thanx for clearing this up.

SilverOne,

I suggest you be more careful with your prior post. There isn't any real "unfair advantages" flying formation. There are some things that can help you out but flying that close to another person is all skill/talent regardless. The aerobatic community takes note of whatever it can help to make that a little easier. I say a little because again.....99% skill/talent/1% help with tweaks. Don't get that ever confused with cheating or having an unfair advantage...period. As far as the Virtual Thunderbirds, we time and time again actually have to go back and relearn how to fly formation with new sticks/patches/mods...and I dare say it's an easy thing.

5's clear,

SilverOne,

My reaction was not ment to be insulting in any way. I can't blame you that you got this information and that you want to share it with the Virtual Thunderbirds is fully understandable. What you don't know is that it was already known information by Lawndart and I consider also with the rest of the team. What Striker is saying is totally right, this info will not make you a better pilot. This was only ment to solve some of the pitch and stamping problems lockon has and a lil extra push in the back for virtual aerobatic pilots to reach the ultimate level in percision flying.

Yeah I do fly Concorde. I use Concorde proffesional which includes almost a full engineer panel/full overhead panel n stuff. Quite hard for you to learn it, the manual is not good as usual, doesn't explain what you have to do, just explains what the button do.

If you want a good sig just ask around forums.

You can get a good idea of the Concorde I use here:

http://www.phoenix-simulation.co.uk/def ... corde+2004

Let me warn you, this plane is the hardest in fuel managment, because weight and balance is CRITICAL to the Concorde.

Also, if you're planing to buy this plane here's a good tip: Engines don't work well at low speed, try to keep the bird speed high or you'll crash.

I recommend this product, it's the best plane I ever flew.

BTW you're not the one that thinks that, but it gets my nerves.

I think he was asking if you actually flew the Concorde (as in real life)! Now, why would that get on your nerves?

LOL of course not, well I wish I could do that, but...... I would be happy if I would just fly in it. :)

Another mate asked me that and I was kinda :x
