Pretty sweet.
Design is all about finding solutions within constraints.

Very cool, but I had to laugh at the name.
A little cheesy, don't ya think?

It must be a new thing, used to be called an 8-Ship Delta.

In the trailer for the movie Smoke On, the VTB were also flying an 8-Ship. But in that formation, aircraft #7 and #8 were flying in the Slot position off the Left and Right Wing aircraft (Smoke On Trailer, check from 0:46).

I'm over it. Don't even know if I will ever fly for the USAF ever again but we shall see. Everyday is a challenge.

Dacades ago, often the jets would return to Nellis flying one of a variety of eight- or nine- (yes, I did say nine) ship formations.
We paid our homage by flying an
Eight-ship outhouse (flown in the F-100D's and T-38's in the mid sixties and late seventies, respectively).
