Thunderbirds - A Team Portrait Documentary 1987 Team

Post by takeone » Sun Oct 25, 2009 12:21 am

I'm not sure if many of you have seen this. It's a documentary about the 1987 team. Nicely done. Great vintage footage.

I can't believe the F-100's were allowed to fly that low and over the audience. Some shots make it look like they are only 50' off the deck!

I found this old show in some old VHS tapes I was searching through this weekend.

Enjoy!

Ah, wow! I had totally forgotten about this tape. When I was around 6, and I had bought a tape of the Thunderbrids, the exact same one you have here. Thank you for posting this. 8)

That must have been the most memorable airshow, for both the crowd and the Thunderbirds, in Paraguay.

How often are you told, by a president of a country, to break the sound barrier, and fly as low as you wanted.

Good find, thanks for posting!

The first few minutes I knew it looked very familiar, then remembered that it was the first documentary of the Thunderbirds that I saw, I think I was about 6 at the time.

 I remember the Blues talking about that in their "Threshold" documentary.
