I just deleted and banned three "phishy" users from the forums. They all signed up and posted within only minutes of each other (in the same thread). One of them asking a question about playing movies in Messenger, with the other two replying immediately; the first reply innocently eluding to not knowing, but suggesting to search Google, and the second post (by the third user) pointing to where to buy a "fake webcam" for Messenger. I searched online and found other forums with the same three usernames, again with one of them asking a question, and the other two replying to it with info and links where to buy stuff.
This spam & advertising will be deleted.
Here are the usersnames (all using the same IP):
ellatwo3
sabrinakornel
familiarimbao
The IP used: 203.99.179.187 is from Pakistan(PK) in region Northern and Central Asia...
Should anyone see other suspicious posts/users, please let us know and we'll look into it and remove the ads etc.

Better start thinking about upgrading to phpBB3 there LD. Not sure how much longer the phpBB2 security parameters will hold up.

Nah, there's a plethora of mods you can install.
