Greetings VTB's

S!

S! All

I've been lurking this forum and the VBA site now for several weeks and must say I'm very impressed. What LawnDart posted over at the VBA site says it all about virtual aerobatics.

I was fortunate enough to have tasted this aspect of flight sims for a few months in Pacific Fighters in a team called United. We were flying several nights a week that usually consisted of 2 flights and reviews of the tracks to determine where improvment was needed the most. The team had 7-8 pilots of which 4-5 were committed to flying almost every night. Progress was slow BUT steady. The 4 ship diamond loop and roll were very passable despite struggling through the much debated 4.01m patch.

Unfortunately we no longer fly. Real life issues of two key team members, namely the leader and instructor ended our run to show quality aerobatics. Aerobatics was and is the only aspect of the game I enjoyed and I'm now realizing how much I miss it. At the moment I don't have LOMAC and so for now I have to settle for lurking forums and watching the very professional made movies.

I wish both the VBA and VTB's success and a great time getting there. In the meantime I'll consider purchasing and playing LOMAC and maybe even make a run at a tryout in the future.

Keep the movies coming will ya please!!

_AH_Stryker,

Thanks for the kind words, get lockon you will not be sorry. It's alot of fun. I know its not props but it rocks. We strive to make the team just like the real USAF Thunderbirds in every way with Pride, Power & Precision. We take our flying to a point that nobody can understand, We have molded us into the Thunderbirds by watching about every DVD out about their live shows, and all of us have seen the Thunderbirds several times. All this hard work pays off not in dollar figures but in things like this months issue if Computer Pilot Magazine, if your able to pick up a copy please do so, really good article about the VTB in there (not to toot our own horn).

But please go and get lockon and come and enjoy the fun everyone is having with the simulation, heck come and tryout you already have a steady hand at formation flying. Hope to see you around!!
