Many of us here were watching this show together, live via the net when No. 2 had a birdstrike and moments later CNN breaking news as well when "Kojak" of the Blue Angels went down. The two events were within minutes of one another and I know among those in the channel at the time, it was an eerie feeling...

It definitely was eerie. Watching the next day's show I think we were all pretty collectively nervous.

I guess when we see them at NAS Oceana in september we will have to give all the angels a salute! I say there should be a massive salute to Kojack by Rich's Pyro! Light up the whole runway in a sneak pass by him as the Geico skytypers fly overhead and write "R.I.P. Kojack" or something! THAT would be cool!
