Hey guys just wanted to get my name out there and meet and greet you all. I am 26 living in Green Bay, WI. NO Packer jokes!!!LOL. I have owned Lock on gold scince it came out but just recently installed and played it seriously. this game can be alot of fun and informative. Coming from an airforce background i fell in love with planes when i was young. watched the Thunderbirds every time they came to the base. I have been playing BF2 and 2142 for the last year and a half. mainly playing with the jets and helos. I wanted to get into a server with any of you and watch or join in on some flyin. I cant get the online thing to work. i have hyperlobby but it says i dont have the game installed.

so anyways hi and maybe i will see you out there.
Mike

hmmm, you should be able to connect online unless your firewall is not letting it. Also download the newer version of hyperlobby out, it might fix whatever is wrong.

Confirm your install:
1. Lock-On: Modern Air Combat. (original CD)
2. Flaming Cliffs 1.1 (second CD).
3. Download and install the latest update (1.12a)

I got it to work to get me into hyperlobby but now it says ti couldnt find "lua5.dll" file. There were only 3 servers on hyperlobby that were operating. is that how many are usually on or is there a larger amount of servers somewhere else?
thanks for the help guys

Well lets confirm a few things first.
Loren did you patch to version 1.12a of LOMAC. If you did are you certain you D/Led the correct version of the patch as there are two- one for a CD install of Flaming Cliffs and one for the Web D/Led version of Flaming Cliffs.
If you're not certain you got the right one, I'd suggest uninstalling and reinstalling LOMAC from scratch paying close attention to which version of the patch you D/L.

I got the 1.12a. not sure about the web one. I couldnt even get into hyperlobby before. Then i patched to 1.12a and i got in and could see the servers, or at least the 3 or 4 that were on. I could also chat with other players. But as soon as i clicked on a server to go into it came up with that message about Lua5.dll. not sure, maybe i will fool around in some forums and see if anyone has any suggestions or fixes.
thanks

Cannot confirm anything based on the file, but sounds like a potential "patch-mis-match". There are two different types of 1.12a patches as Burner said and if you accidentally install the CD patch over the D/L version of LOFC or vice versa, it will give you a bunch of errors. Make certain you used the correct patch of 1.12a (CD patch if you have LOFC on disc and D/L patch if you have the D/L version of LOFC).
Regardless, I would uninstall, clean sweep and reinstall everything double checking the correct kind of 1.12a patch before digging any further for other causes...
