Dang, this thing is a pain to get running. I installed it correctly and everything, but now when I start the phantomcontrol.exe thing, it says "The window does not have scroll bars." but it still opens. same thing when I try to close it, "Invalid filename."

Sorry to be a hassle, and I really appreciate you helping me.

hmmm....After you unzip the main file, did you place the .zip file in Loman or are you using the option in Loman to Add it? I remember that I had to use the add option in Loman in order to get it to work. I still get an error message but it still works. Also, check to make sure you have the right version of loman as well as the unofficial add on. You can find Loman v2.1 and the Unofficial Loman patch in the Files section on the main page.

Hope this helps.

Install PhantomControl_04a.zip using Loman 2.1 Final.
This is a loman compatible zip file.

How to produce a phantom track.

1. Record a track in PLAYER mode. Name it ______.trk and close LockOn.
2. Open phantom and turn Trace ON. Everything else off. Close phantom.
3. Re-open LockOn and play the track. Don't change views, just let it play. Phantom will trace it. Then close LockOn.
4. Re-open phantom and hit the CONVERT button. This will bring up a save box. Re-name the track _________.phtrk then hit save. It will take a sec and have a .phtrk extention. The new _______.phtrk will be located in the TEMP folder of your LockOn install.

At this point you have created a track and had phantom trace/copy it.

To play a phantom track on your server.

1. Open phantom control and select a Phantom Track. (the one you recorded). Then hit USE.
2. Turn Phantom ON and everything else OFF.
3. Close Phantom Control.
4. Open LockOn, create a MP session and select the same mission that you first recorded your track on! This is very important as to place the phantom aircraft in the same spot as when you first recorded it.
5. Clients join and follow the phantom Boss.

Remember, the original mission file and phantom track file are married, They must be used together.

Oh, wait a minute here- am I supposed to be on flaming cliffs? Cause I'm still on the old lock on, cause every now and then, my bud still likes to play, but if I have to use FC, I'm going to upgrade :)

Rage, you can pick up FC pretty cheap at Circuit City. That's the only place I could find it locally. Then you'll have to update FC to v1.12a or 1.12b depending on your OS.
