The video that Rock posted I was at the game (shown in the first clip) where O scored on Coyotes goalie Brian Boucher... Yeah great hockey player! Even though I'm a season ticket holder for the Coyotes, man it was nice to see a goal scored like that. Very talented kid. Him and Sidney are gonna have a great Sophmore year in the NHL as long as they stay healthy...

I've always been more into football, and haven't watched hockey, but my buddy who's in love with hockey has got to see this clip!

...mildly entertaining I guess. It's a pity its such a wussy sport. All that padding, helmets, gloves...

You wanna see a real man's sport?

Spectacular...

Ah yes, rugby, the caveman version of American football... J/K

No honestly, I've been asked to play rugby here at school and I just won't because I've never been able to find an easier sport to tear your knees up in than rugby, and tearing knees and ankles up is just not a luxury I have, nor want to have!

Anyways, the Blackhawks are already screwed. We've lost Handzus for the season, Havlat (leading NHL scorer) is out for 3-4 weeks, and the "Bulin Wall" is out for a while with a finger problem. It's a damn good thing that we're getting Ruutu and Barker back because we are sure gonna miss the 2 way play of Handzus.

Well my apologies Cobra, Aussie Rules Football. This is very interesting, I didn't even know it existed! What are the differences if any?
Again, my apologies, didn't mean to insult or anything. Looks like you can forward pass kick or something along those lines?

No offense taken... (and it's NOTHING like rugby)

A quick guide to the rules.

If the ball travels more than 15 yards and is caught on the full, then a "mark" is awarded and a free kick is taken from that spot. That is why the mark is so contested and the reason why flying over the back of someone else(particularly in front of goal to get a free shot at the goal) to get to the ball first is allowed. (plus it looks good and the chicks dig it..)

There is no offside rules, you can kick the ball forward or back as well as "handpassing" where the ball is held in one hand and struck with the clenched fist of the other.

You can tackle anyone holding the ball and bump anyone with the hip and shoulder who is within five yards of the ball.

A goal is worth six points and is recorded when the ball is kicked through the two middle posts. If you kick it through the side post, or the ball is touched by someone and goes through the big posts, you get one point.

There are 18 players on the field with four interchange player. Unlimited interchange is allowed.

Each quarter is about 25-30minutes long and there are NO timeouts. The whole game is based on constant movement.

There are more esoteric rules but that is the basics.

It is played in the USA and Canada! http://www.usfooty.com/usfooty/

Hockey is a a tuff sport as well... I play goal at my loacal rink and man getting those slap shots that are over 100 Mph it's just insane.. I love the game both on and off the ice... I play to play you know, just to have a good time. Can't say the same for the pros. $$$$ I think that's nuff said about them..

But as far as Chicago goes... Good team... 4-4 it's at .500 which is a lot better than my Coyotes... Ugh... Khabby is out for a couple weeks with a broken finger and Phoenix, we just cant seem to stop a beach ball even with CUJO in net. But there I think it's a lot of rebound scoring chances... I mean how many times can one goalie stop the orignal shot and 3-4 rebounds off that same shot. Can get very tiring. That and facing 30-40 shots every other night. It's a looooong year but it's gonna be a fun one...
