Another great for the boneyard

it might have already been posted here if so im sorry but for those who dont know we are about to lose another great in military aviation. Not as famed as the F-14 but still an effective aircraft on the frontline, i'm talking about the C-17 and the continuation of the baby goes out in 2009, heres the story

You mean their stopping production of the C-17....the aircraft itself will fly for a very long time from now.

Yah man, look how long some of the "legacy" hercs have been flying. A LONG TIME! With the best maintenance in the world, the US keeps their equipment capable of lasting darn near forever. I think I read somewhere the B-52 will still be good until 2060 or something like that, and thats darn near a 100 years!
