Hahaha, maybe I do post too much. Well, if you don't want me to, then have the moderators just remove my posts. I'll try not to post anymore, thanks alot, Striker. And if your going to be sarcastic about it you might as well get Lqcorsa instead of Iq.

Lqcorsa,

First off, last time I checked I am a moderator and we dont removed posts here unless for a good reason. Second, most of the people I talk to thought your first letter of your uncommon name was an I, rather than L....so in that case thanks for the clarification.

This is not directed at you per se LQcorsa, but everybody. Just use common sense. That's all! We enjoy having you here LQcorsa. It's not the moderators job to decide what gets posted and what doesn't, only to a certain extent make sure that people follow the general guidelines of the forums incl. but not limited to:
  • Making posts that contribute
  • Staying on topic (to the extent possible)
  • Not engaging in political, personal, ethical debates
  • Keeping the tone and language down
  • Accepting the fact that forums are for discussions, not necessarily to argue or make smart remarks, although understand it can and will happen. The message in the senders mind is usually not the same as the receiver interprets or perceives it as.
...for more info check the Forum rules & policies thread.

If anyone thinks a moderator's job is to decide what gets to stay posted and what doesn't, you're wrong! Yes, they do have the power to delete and edit posts, but only to steer people away from topics escalating or breaking the rules and policies. It is each user's responsibility to comply and use common sense.

LQcorsa, knowing Striker all I can say is just try to accept the joke. It's not personal and also try to see the fact that forums don't always convey the intended message. We enjoy having you here!

Straight to the point! As already touched on in the answer above, this sums it up! It's just common sense in using the forum guidelines and not taking everything being said back as "I'm right and you're wrong". Forums are for discussions and that's what we'll have...

Okay I can see I may have jumped to conclusions a little to fast here, possibly posting after midnight isn't such a good idea eh? I guess after making my joke about the USAF vs. USN, I understood some forum members don't take jokes very well, as arguements persisted for two more pages on the thread. I think it went something like this? "Baaahh who needs the USAF anyways, NO DIS-RESPECT TO THE VTB!!!!! " (wink indicating I wasn't serious),
STRIKER then wrote:"Thanks for the compliment, only coming up on my 8th year now in the USAF. Served in Bosnia, Iraq and many other places....I would surely think my country needed me there as well as all my other AF members. I would think with the wink you were joking about that comment so I will take no offense by that. Just one of those subjects I take very seriously."
Talk about a slap in the face to me eh? Wasn't expecting that one. After seeing that I'm doing my best to stay away from jokes on these forums, kind of like the one that was mentioned in a earlier post at the top of this page. However I think there was some hinting in Strikers thread reply. I know I post a lot, thats because I think you guys are so cool and I admire what you can do, and I'm trying to stop posting so much.

You're fine! Feel free to post, joke and all the above. Just remember that everyone perceives a "wink" differently many times.

So, about the lightning?
