First off I would like to say that the POST that i made in their Forum was not the same that you are reading now.. I posted alot more in there.. and as soon as I was done it was edited.. It doesnt show who did it .. but im sure the person who posted right after me was probably the one.. but Hey they have every right to control their forum.. but this is pretty much what I said

I cut and pasted(They know this procedure im sure) the PLAGERISM definition
and then expressed my feelings about How wrong this was and a slap in the face to everyone in the formation flying community whether it be Lomac or Pacific Fighters or MSFS2K4 or whatever. The Virtual ThunderBirds are the BenchMark of the formation flying community. Granted they werent the first.. but they have taken it the farthest in my opinion.
I condemned The FreeBirds-VFW members that are participating and partaking in this nonsense and Knowing that they were supporting OUR TEAM when we started the FreeBirds formation flying team.. under the guidance of the VTB..

I then said that I know personally the man who spent hours upon hours days and weeks developing and improving the VTB's website (CINCH)..

I said that they can continue to DENY the fact that they Copied the website almost page for page .. exactly .. but the Formation Flying Community will come together and rally against this ..

I would like to see how creative they can get with their team and their skill level with formations and stuff..

NOT talking like VOLTANO TYPE FORMATIONS.. but something.. anything..

Sinister,

I totally agree! There isn't a page in their that doesn't have at least some similarity to the REAL Virtual Thunderbirds (LOMAC) website. Besides, it's not like their website can even compare to these Virtual Thunderbirds. I'd like to see them get a thrustmaster sponsorship 8) . Almost every page (well, not including their forums) is just a mod of this website. From the exact same picture gallery, to the #5's sig number up side down, to the pilots page with all of the planes in a top down view formation, and even the pilot bio's have all the same parts = What position they fly, what they do outside the job, and the classic: "Pilots Name calls City, State home.... sentence. Oh well, it just goes to show how much more advanced this team is then they are!
But the VIRTUAL THUNDERBIRDS will never be matched in my book.
Same with the Virtual Blue Angels I hope right? :)

dude maybe they have an f16 pit cause falcon 4.0 ALLIED FORCE was built 4 years ago for the sole purpose of being a f16 sim ONLY, try flying another jet in that game and it will only be a F16 pit, at least LOMAC has other pits, regardless if we cant understand it.

Love ya, Love your show!!!!

-Shabo, out

hey why my sig doesnt work, don't know, did't change anything....WTF?????

Can't anybody on these forums take jokes anymore? I think the major hint was the name of the Team being called Falcon 4.0 Virtual Thunderbirds. No need to get all defensive of lomac... lol I guess I'm done with jokes on these forums... geez.

dude maybe I posted that reply for people to get a kick out of it, not for people to dis-courage me in every post I try and make a point or make somebody laugh, and not for them to state the obvious.

Say Shabo... Doesn't this look like Falcon 4.0? In fact! I got it from the Falcon 4.0 HQ site! Hmm.... wierd doesn't look like a f-16 cockpit to me, it almost looks like A-10 don't you think so? What do you know, maybe you can get different cockpits!

Image

Don't get me wrong I'd throw away Falcon 4.0 any day for lomac, Falcon can't even begin to compare. But I figured since I thought you were being a little in-accurate, I just thought I'd show you that.

Wow, looks like this is getting ugly. I think it's been stated enough how everyone feels about the differences (or lack of) for that team. I do think it's a bit messed not that the team decided to go ahead with their own project, but that they rushed a very similar web site, and didn't have in the way of originality. Bottom line, is this is a hobby for everyone, and as I put it last night, if me and my buddy set out to build model airplanes, I can't be mad at you and your buddy for building the same exact model airplane, but when you take pictures that I took of my plane, and show them to your family the issues forms. To the members of F4AF T-birds, you had to have known that this was coming when you came to this website to promote your own good, and it was not without fault that you guys set yourself up for this. Now for the critics, understand that what they did was try to assemble something new in their own heads, that can't be scolded, and no one here is perfect the last time I checked, so allow them to eat what they have already taken and move on. If I were you guys, I seriously agree with everyone else in the forum though, walk away from THAT aspect of the hobby. NOT THE HOBBY ALL TOGETHER. There's a million other possiblities that still exist out there for formation teams that haven't yet been explored, and you guys could be the ones to taper off out of the picture, and show back up a year from now unannounced with something totally frickin' phenomenal that no one has seen or done yet. But for right now, and just right now, cut your losses, and realize that you guys tried to eat the whole elephant the second you named yourselves the Thunderbirds. Again, no one is perfect, but these guys have this locked down, and it's something sacred to these guys because they've put the time and energy into it, and deserve every bit of the credit that they get. Ask them to point you guys in the right direction for a new project, and you might find, that despite what has happened, they're still good enough to help you guys. Let's all just let this one ride, and get back into the skies where the good shit happens!

Keep it real, and be good to each other. 8)

One can only assume it was a temporary box because of the use of the hopto.org domain on it. Meaning it was possibly pointing to a personal computer that was hosting the site.

Domain names and hosting solutions are very inexpensive these days.
