Motivation, inspiration and success!

Post by Lawndart » Tue Jul 11, 2006 7:09 pm

Found some of these while reading a magazine during one of many long flights (on my vacation). You could say that they all apply in what we do online, what the real Thunderbirds do on an everyday basis and what any pilot does in formation flying to the fullest sense. The only word missing a definition here is "trust". Something all these men and women performing aerobatics in formation have with their lives on the line each time they perform to thrill the audiences. Kudos to all those who do this for real and know, that there are at least some of us out here who understand the exceptional commitment and teamwork it demands to make it look as easy as it does. Albeit cheesy, these quotes all apply to the highest degree in the art of aerial mastery of formation flying!

Excellence
Excellence is the result of caring more than others think is wise, risking more than others think is safe, dreaming more than others think is practical, and expecting more than others think is possible.

Teamwork
Teamwork is the ability to work together toward a common vision. The ability to direct individual accomplishment toward organizational objectives. It is the fuel that allows common people to attain uncommon results.

Achievement
Unless you try to do something beyond what you have already mastered, you will never grow.

Dare To Soar
Your attitude, almost always determines your altitude in life.

Purpose
First say to yourself where you want to go, and then aim for where you have to be.

Dream
Resolve to succeed. The greatest discovery one can make is that nothing is impossible.

The Power of Attitude
Our lives are not determined by what happens to us, but how we react to what happens; not by what life brings to us, but by the attitude we bring to life. A positive attitude causes a chain reaction of positive thoughts, events, and outcomes. It is a catalyst... a spark that creates extraordinary results.

That is awesome LD!

I agree that trust is a huge factor and I do think that trust is a part of teamwork. Without trust teamwork does not work. Thanks for the post!
