CoolerMaster HAF-X Case
EVGA Z68 FTW
i7 2700k @ 5.0 Ghz @ 1.38v
8 GB G.Skill Ripjaws X 1600 9-9-9-24 @ 1.5v
2 x EVGA GTX 580 3GB

Recorded a substantial gain in Gigaflops with the addition of this sticker.

First stress test / post-build shakedown run, decided an attempt at the Oregon Trail would really pour the coals to her. Emily is in the foreground, just in awe of the new setup, she loves the placement of the PC and the TV, well, not really... but it's only temporary!

I like how clean your case looks, and those GTX 580s and the H80 radiator make your Z68 board look tiny. How's cable management in the HAF-X (ample room behind the mobo)?

Thermaltake V9 BlacX Case
Corsair HX 850W PSU
EVGA X58 FTW3
Intel i7-950 @ 4GHz @ 1.33v
Corsair H50 Cooler
24 GB G.SKILL Ripjaws DDR3 1600 8-8-8-24 @ 1.5v
Corsair H50 Cooler
2 x EVGA GTX 460 FTW
X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty
WD VelociRaptor 600GB 10000RPM
2 x WD Caviar Black 1TB 7200RPM

Just added some additional 12cm case fans to help keep the GPUs as cool as the CPU.

Nice looking build - I like the lighting. I need to put more LED fans in mine.

A ton of room behind the mobo to cram all the cables, really like the case.

The wall of fans.
Image

Just installed two more case fans for a total of 8 fans now :!:  (4 on the side; 2 of which are mounted over the GPUs). These four side fans each suck 69 CFM @ 19 dB and 2,000 RPM, so overall it's still relatively quiet for the amount of fans now running in the case. The remaining fans are one front intake fan, two mounted on the radiator and one 20cm exhaust fan.

My current idle temps (with aforementioned overclock) are:

Ambient temp: 22C
CPU: 21C
System: 23C
Cores: 38C, 36C, 38C, 34C

Not too bad for a Bloomfield chip.

It'll be interesting to see how much it helps under load...

Should I feel like taking the fans out and have the computer run whisper quiet, they all come out on the same bracket in less than a minute.

And I thought 16GB of RAM was overkill...

One of the few ways in which I act as old as I am...you won't catch me deliberately lighting up a PC. I'll look for un-lighted fans before buying lighted ones. :D

No offense at all to those of you who like your lights. No hate. Just not my speed. :D

You're welcome. I still got you beat with 13 total in mine.

Edit: Oh wait, 14 with my PSU fan. (That's a lot of blue).

16 GB is never overkill... (I'm running 24 GB).

Thanks! At $5.99 per fan, the Cooler Master Sickleflow is a steal. I currently took my fans out of the case though - it's nice when the computer runs so quiet if it wasn't for the LED lighting it'd be hard to tell if it was actually on or off. Temps run a few Celsius higher (system and GPUs), but the dB level is ridiculously low. I like that!

I'd like to see how you fit all of them in there, and how you mounted them?
