Incredible!

Those SU-30 maneuvers are almost unbelieveable!

I saw the new Super Hornet do an air demo here in Chicago this past summer and I was really impressed with the gravity-defying moves he was making, but this SU-30 demo is almost unbelieveable!!

Can the F-15, F-16, F-18 perform these same maneuvers?

Maybe our guys don't like to perform like that because they are not actual combat maneuvers???? :? :?

Thrust vectoring... Aside from the Raptor none of the other US fighters have that capability today.

Well, i <3 the su30 cuz of it's canards, awesome show there but those russian dudes are obcessed with stall manovering, but personaly a Raptor STANDS no chance up to a SU-47 (S-37) BERKUT......

if you have no idea what a su-47 here check this :

I sometimes wonder why after spending about $130 million, we only get to have 1 dimensional thrust vectoring in Raptor... but again, I'm pretty sure that we're not going to know the real specs of the Raptor anytime soon... I personally don’t think USAF is really letting us know about the full potential of the Raptor yet. Mach 1.8 as the max level speed is a bit hard to believe for me...

Raptor standing no chance up to the Berkut... hmm... well that one's up for debate . But we've seriously got to wait to see what happens on that one when the time comes (hopefully in a practice mission).

Funky

PS. I remember reading that NASA did some experiments with a full (2 dimensional) thrust vectoring capable Viper. What I dont remember is where they ended up with the experiment :?.

lolz i used to play jane's usaf when i was 7, and i still have the manual here and it is pretty andy sometimes...

but i remenber overspeedin with the raptor when i was pitched 80, and yes 1.8 seems weird.

im not commmentin the 1.6 top speed on the S-42.

Well it's kinda [DELETED] to fight a raptor cuz you realy don't know who you're messing with.

No profanity pls

I thought the Su47 was an advanced harrier, its afterburners rotated up and down.

PS: Keep your eye out for W32.Jeefo.exe or something like that cant remember the name, its really screwed my PC over. In fact I just tryed to open up my virus scan to find the name and some driver is missing. Guess I learned my downloading w/out scanning lesson. Anybody got any tips on how to get rid of write protected things off my PC? Most of the infected files cant be deleted because they are write protected.

Janes USAF is so arcadish I would never compare it to any real aircraft performance....you wont win that battle. Janes is a great source of aircraft info but when it came to their games I have always been disappointed. I even helped my friend from EA beta test Fighters Anthology back in the day and actually told him to cann most of the game cause it was that bad but of course they put it on the shelves instead. For example....the developers created a runway no longer/wider than my 1/16 mile street to my house. Also, does anyone remember the Thunderbird mission in Janes USAF game where you can do all the loops/rolls in front of a crowd? HMMMM.....maybe a future in that for us.
