Hello my fellow pilots,
I was wondering why you guys fly lockon. Lockon is ofcourse a nice game but Falcon 4 with its updates is more real and more like a simulator than the "game" lockon. Also the cockpit is like the real F16.
By the way are you guys going to fly with FighterOPS when the simulator comes out?
Greetings,
Frazer
Why Lockon?
Frazer,
I would have thought you'd know the answer having flown aerobatics yourself with the IAT using Lock-On. The netcode, damage modeling, graphics and even flight dynamics are far better than other sims. Accuracy in cockpits and systems may be lacking, but for what we do, that's hardly used anyway. I haven't turned my radar on for months and back then it was probably on accident. Lock-On beats the other sims in the online netcode needed to fly 450 knots and 12 inches (30 centimeters) apart by far. Have you ever tried F4 in close dynamic formation? It's not pretty...
As far as Fighter Ops, it does look very promising (!), but until the netcode and flight dynamics are proved to surpass Lock-On, we won't switch even if it looks sweet and sounds great.

Take care bro!
