It's infinitely thin... it can only have one side. 8)

Hi everyone, I'm new to this forum and was lead here following a post to another forum.

Gunner, question: What software do you use to get the screen images onto the Samsung U70s?

Just so everyone knows what we're talking about here (off topic), it's the video by Dean "Wilbur" Wright, Patriot No. 1 from back when he was the Lead Solo for the Thunderbirds during the 2000 season.
Clearly Wilbur's not the only one.

This is from 2007...caught by someone on the ground.

Hello everyone, 1st time poster.

I have recently re-installed Lock On FC, mainly to get back in to the swing of things prior to DCS A10.

I too have the Cougar MFD panels, and 2 x Samsung U70 USB monitors. I have a couple of questions, and I hope Gunner wouldn't mind answering.

1. Samsung Drivers. Did you use the drivers on the CD that came with the monitor, or did you use DisplayLink v5.2.21675 drivers instead?

2. Although I have searched and searched (here, Viperpit, SimHQ, LockOn Files). Can you tell me what software you are using to extract and display the MFD data on the U70's? I am probably not wording my search correctly, because I am unsure what I am exactly searching for! I do know that I have page by paged most topics for my answer, but came up empty handed.

I am using Win7, 12Gb RAM and the i7 intel chip (@3.8Ghz)and my video cards are 2 x ATI 4870x2's, 3 x 19" tft's (on an ergotron triple support).

Thank you in advance for your time.

A word of warning to anyone who is thinking of using the Samsung U70's as MFD's, but also have two Gfx cards installed in an SLI or X-Fire configuration.

The latest DisplayLink drivers DO NOT support dual Gfx cards. However, the next release is (Jan 2010) is being touted as compatable.

Gunner's Pit with the Thrustmaster MFD Cougar Pack is now featured on Thrustmaster's site as well. Have a look here.

I see Gunner has a shiny new non-paint flaked Cougar. (Wonder for how long though)? Man I want that pit. 8)

According to producer Matt Wagner of Eagle Dynamics, they've worked with Thrustmaster to fully support the MFD Cougar Pack in the upcoming DCS: A-10C. An examination of the MFD Cougar Pack will reveal that the F-16s MFDs are very similar to the Multifunction Color Displays (MFCDs) in the A-10C. According to Matt, DCS: A-10C will automatically recognize the MFD Cougar Pack and will configure them automatically to replicate the A-10C MFCDs in the simulation.

Another reason to look forward to DCS Warthog.

Thrustmaster MFD's

Post by marcelbrabson » Thu Jun 24, 2010 7:31 pm

I want to purchase the Thrustnaster MFD's, but I want to add the LCD screens also. Can anyone tell me what LCD's should I buy and what software would I need to run them?
