Announcing the Virtual Patriots Jet Team

The Virtual Patriots Jet Demonstration Team was started in the fall of 2008. In 2009 the team has grown to a full diamond and 2 other support members. The mission of the Virtual Patriots is to faithfully and accurately replicate the demonstration flown by the Fry's Electronics Patriots Jet Team based in Byron, California. Their 4-ship L-39 demo is fast paced with constant action from beginning to end, and we aim to make it even more exciting. We provide the real team with ideas for new maneuvers and are working on new show music for their routine and possibly a new routine itself for the 2010 show season! Taking us under their wing, the Patriots Jet Team have integrated us as an official part of their team and we continue to work together to better the real and virtual flying experience.

More opportunities to work with the real team will be revealed as time goes on, but back to the virtual aspect of our team. The pilots for this year's demo team are as follows:
  • #1 Boss - Sien 'Sinister' Pileggi
  • #2 Right Wing - Anthony 'Blaze' Echavarria
  • #3 Left Wing - Ian 'Burner' Roberts
  • #4 Slot - Travis 'Bow' Munoz
  • #5 Lead Solo/Backup Boss - Chris 'STRIKER' Curtis
  • #8 Public Affairs - Mike 'Cinch' Perry
Our website is not currently finished yet and will be released along with the real team's new site, but our forums are up and running, http://www.virtualpatriots.com/forum. We encourage you all to come over and join us, and if you have any questions or comments for the virtual or the real Patriots, or wish to inquire about trying out for the team, we'll be happy to answer any questions you may have.

More information about the real Patriots Jet Team can also be found at: Airshows America & Patriots Jet Team

This is great news! About time we finally heard something official about the VPJT! :D

I'm excited and anxious to see and hear more about everything from both the PJT and the VPJT in the upcoming months, and I'm pleased to see that half of the Virtual Patriots team (Burner, Striker and Cinch) are ex-Virtual Thunderbirds who got their "schooling" in the virtual Red, White and Blue jets. Best of luck to everyone!

The moment is here, congratulations guys!!!

The Virtual Patriots Jet Demonstration Team is at the front line of getting virtual flying connected with reality which not one team achieved before in the Lock On aerobatic community.

Well done and good luck, can not wait to see the signup of the VPJT for VFAT2009!

Thanks, we've been waiting for this moment for a very long time, and can't wait to show the community just what we've got in store! ;)

Seems fitting since half of the real PJT are also ex-Thunderbirds, and to make it even spookier, solo and slot pilots just like Striker and Burner!
