About posting about the Viurtal Blue angels!

Post by Cinch » Wed Aug 10, 2005 9:34 pm

USAF_Soilder,

As I understand it, that you posted the web site and forums to help out, well I was contacted by a couple of people from the Virtual Blue angels. They have informed me that the links that you have posted are not official Virtual Blue Angels web site nor fourms, which leads to misinforming the visitors of the web site and forums. So if you would could you discontinue posting the links you have for the Virtual Blue Angels refered to in these fourms. If your starting your own team please make sure to let everyone know that this is a diff team the the orginal Virtual Blue Angels (be that the case). I'am good friends with a couple of the VBA and they are working on a web site and fourms of their own soon to be online. But be it as it may please be clear on what Virtual Blue Angels you are speaking about, Your's or the Orginal Virtual Blue Angels.

Thank you,

Mike Cinch Perry

:( The recruiting stoped?? What about the VTB? Just an opinion 8) you guys (virtual squads) should create virtual schools for aerobatics..., fixed training days with an experienced T/O (training officer). The comunity will apreciate :) .., well but this is only an opinion.

Ok, people.... you need to start reading the FAQs, About us and other content on our site more often! What the VBA decides to do is up to them, but the VTB are always open for new recruits. Now, it may be some time after you apply before we get a chance to actually fly with ya'll and under most circumstances we don't have time to "train" pilots, unless they demonstrate potential during a tryout. All of us have real life jobs and obligations and we still manage to practice (a necessity and priority) and take care of all the other "ground chores" for the team in our free time, much less have time to run a flight training school. I really like the idea, but there's just no time in our schedules to do this! Here's where the tryouts come into play. If you can demonstrate dedication, progression and potential, we'll continue working with you, but understand that, just like the VBA, we don't have a spot for everyone on this team. We are built around having 6 performers and can manage around twice that amount, but anything more than that and we would lose the high standards we need. Just to re-iterate, we continuously recruit and if a pilot with the "right stuff" shows up we'll run him through the gauntlet and training season...

From my understanding, and I might be wrong, the VBA have been on a long hiatus and recently stated that they needed to recruit pilot. The Freebirds met them "halfway" and while all these other things of forming a "new" team is going on, they probably didn't have a clear picture whether there would be a forum, website in the works. This is something that needs to be answered by them, but I can understand how things are changing daily over there right now with so many new things to undertake, all at the same time!

TBT-PIPER.. Your just Jealous cause mine is bigger than yours lol..

Well I would just like to clarify something and hope it will be the last time this will be addressed.. So Please dont be offended..

Yes THE VBA did come back and start. recruiting..as in my post earlier.. They saw our video(the FreeBirds) and felt that we were good enough and wanted to join up .. This helps with the Learning Curve.. So once we got our group of Pilots and Backup Pilots.. we closed the recruiting to concentrate on training..
As far as a training school. I do like to fly with pilots who are learning or wanting to learn.. whenever I am not flying with the team.. I am a DJ so I have alot of FreeTime to fly.. Infact I took up some of those that were wantin to try out for the VTB's. cause i have alot of time.. and our procedures and parameters are pretty much the same as the VTB's. its where we got them from..

As far as the website and forum..
I thanked USAF Soldier for setting up the forum for us to use.. it did help out alot but we had no ADMIN Rights and really needed to be in charge of it to make changes accordingly.. so we made another one and are using that so if you would like to reach us or browse the forum its in the post above.. our website will be online soon with its own forum as well

For the website.. it was a nice gesture, but it did not reflect on our quest for professionlism and Pride in a possitive way. Just like the VTB, we would like to be considered professional and elite in PRECISION FORMATION FLYING. The website was more like a homepage and just wasnt a good start for our group. The VTB has a kick ass web designer CINCH, and I wouldnt expect anything less from them.

we have to round everything out.. Great Flying.. Great Videos.. Great Team Attitude.. and Great Website..

sorry to LD if this was an issue on your forum..

Well said and I think everyone understands where you are coming from and it's a nice gesture by USAF_Soldier although I agree with everything you said Sinister. You need to be in control of your own "production"!

For the VTB it doesn't come down to any one person. We are all working as a team even when we don't fly and each of us have areas we have hand in from everything between art, web design, public relations, articles, community presence, voice comm hosting, managing forums, developing procedures and then it all has to come together as well. Without any of these people we wouldn't be what we are and I don't hold any single person more responsible for our success in delivering the quality that has become the norm from the VTB! It's teamwork and someone needs to lead and the wingmen need to all strive for the same goal, without butting heads along the way...

As far as "this being an issue on our forum" as you posted, I'm not sure what you were referring to, but again, the forum is here for open discussions for anyone wishing to participate and it doesn't all have to be Thunderbird discussions just cause the forum name says so.
