The Viper West Team did its thing...Great show performed by them...It wasnt a dust bowl like goodyear was which was great, but trying to get on base with my Military ID was a pain.. NO ONE on until 9AM.. The flying didnt start till 1100 which was kind of late since there really wasnt much to look at.. They pulled several planes from AMARC.. yeah boy did I want to see old heaps.. NOT!!! but the BLUES RULED THE SHOW.. Bert wasnt there. It was down for maintence and a couple of "Berts Boys" said it will be back within the month.. I will follow up more later...

We've had "first hand reports" that indicate that the guys this year are a ton tighter than normally at the beginning of the season, so we knew/know from so many people now saying how tight they looked, that the early indications are that. Cant wait till May and June!

There was no doubt that these guys have been practicing hard. I just cant get over how tight and low there were to the crowd... They were definately in mid to late season form in the begining of the season...WOW!!
The only mistake I noticed was on the line abreast loop.. two jets were a little out of formation ( spread to far and behind) but they soon caught up and had that formation looking good...also weather was a factor.. It started to cloud up before they flew..

Viper West: They performed a good show...Your typical fight jet manuvers but still impressive...the Dedication pass was awsome.. LOW and LOUD.. YEAH BABY!!! great show by the viper team.. Cant wait to see these guys again at Nellis..

A-10 West- Good show.. I liked the fake straffing run.. Definately got the crowd pumped with thee explosions. That plane is still cool.. They will be at Luke Days 07...

The profile the Blues fly for the Line abreast is definitely tough. With the power additions on the way up, then popping the boards out on top, then decreasing the power and getting back with the pull, and then to top all off, rounding out the backside they transition into stinger. (Catching my breath) Definitely a very "involved and busy" maneuver!

oh without a doubt thats a tought profile.. Really no referance points and being on so many different axis just adds to the difficulty of the manuver.. But none the less they pulled it off and all was well.. I do have pics of the Blues from the show. Just need to download them...
