Are sailplanes typically equipped with accelerometers, cause it looks like it would be so easy to overstress the airframe at those speeds? Also, the taxi-in was sweet... How often do you see a sailplane rollback to the ramp on its own power!

haha!
The major sound effects during start up(sonic booms) inside Gunners garage are caused from him misplacing the Castrol GTX in the fuel tank and jet fuel in the oil tank. After having a 50 foot long burst of fire come out the tail pipe during the flameout, Gunner realizes what his drunk self has done and immediately shuts down the flying wing and switches the engine ingredients. Once again, Steve goes to start up his toy but little did he know his neighbors kid was standing in his driveway. Instantly on ignition, a second sonic boom sounded, blowing the kid 100 feet into the lawn across the street.

All Aerobatic sailplanes have accelerometers, I've seen 3.5+ in a loopLawndart wrote:Niiice! HIGH FIVE!!!![]()

As far as overstressing the airframe, you would be amazed how far those long wings will flex. I do remember my first aerobatic lesson - I asked the instructor why we were strapping on chutes...he just grinned & said "In case we tear the wings off!"
