What is the proper procedure for Slot moving to trail, I.E. speed brakes?

The first thing you do is drop down to give 2 and 3 enough room to get in and as your dropping you just slightly tap your brakes to put you under #3. it takes alittle practice to end up where you want but its pretty easy once you get it down.

Thanks Jarhead for the advice, unofficially. I have been dropping power back to idle. This seems like a much better solution. I ended up slightly farther back than I have wanted to. I will try this as you are the slot king

Thanks guys for the reply. So what I'm hearing is a slide down and a tap of the brakes with perhaps no throttle changes.

Well now... there will be subsequent throttle changes, there always is! Although, at very few times would you need to make a change as drastic such as idling the throttle.

Just to be clear, I thought Jarhead's idea works much better than my "not sure exactly how to do it and will try it my way" idea. Still learning the proper techniques. Tried it and it worked out very well. I agree on the slight throttle changes. Thanks for the advice JH.
