Any of the VTB pilots thought about flying a D model in a show for picture purposes??? Probably in the slot... :?: :)

If we had a D model, you can bet we'd be flying it all the time for media rides, practices and shows. I'm sure we'd also have a heck of a hard time getting No. 7 and 8 out of their jets and back down to the comm cart.

Our modeler has been dragging his feet for two years completing (a more accurate version of) our C model, let alone converting it to a D model :!:

While most people on our team are great "sticks" and computer savvy guys who know the ins and outs of flying, building cockpits/rigs, creating web content etc. - we don't have any in-house modeler on the team, nor anyone with enough time to pick up 3D modeling as everyone is too busy with their real lives.

It's a touchy subject (especially since said modeler has completed about 95% of the work on the *new* CJ model and gone AWOL), but if our F-16 Block 52 DJ model ever sees the light of day, trust me that we'd be flying the crap out of it! 8)

:D Haha, yea I agree it would be hard to get #7 or 8 back on the ground.

Rest assured that this is something I bring up OFTEN!

I would almost be willing to bet that if we had a D model you might see the whole delta flying it for a couple of weeks until the "new" wears off!

LOL :D I thought it would be neat to see. Seeing how the Tbirds have a grocery getter in the slot more often than not. Regardless, that would be one awesome ride from someones computer chair!

Yea, LOL, partial in-cockpit narration is LD's job.
