Phantom Server Still Active?

Post by SilentEagle » Sat Jul 04, 2009 3:29 am

Just what the topic says. Been checking for 3 days now to see if you guys are still running the phantom server. I've been looking to test my skills once again, but the only phantom servers teams are running at the moment include the Su-27 flight model which gives me ridiculous trim problems.

There is a reason I love the F-15 FM in LOMAC! :)

After all the crazy things that happened to everyone earlier this year, plus having a whole new show to learn, with new procedures and parameters while flying without flaps down, we haven't had enough time to put together a public phantom server and automate anything (yet). It's unavail indefinitely at the moment I'm afraid... :|

Really sorry to hear that. All I can do is hope some other team puts up a phantom server that features the F-15. :(

The server may return again later on.

Is the phantom server still up and running at all?

We still don't have a public phantom server available at the moment. It's anyone's guess whether we'll see it back later on... (2010?).

Hi there VTB!

Was wondering if its possible to check out your phantom server these days, or is it private only for now?

Thanks,

We don't have a community phantom server anymore, only a few second PCs we use for team purposes.

Btw, if we were to run a phantom server it would feature the F-16 FM, zero flaps, and you'd need to trim the bird for formation loops and rolls at 500 mph and up to 4Gs. (Just read the original poster's comments about finding a phantom server using the F-15 FM).

Exactly.

We're now exiting the Diamond 360 at over 400 knots on the HUD tape...that's ~460mph / 740kmh.

Don't take this as arrogance saying we're the only ones who could fly like that - that's not at all what I'm saying - simply that while you might like to sit in...and some of us might like to fly with you or your phantom, the process of adjusting to each others parameters would hinder us when we go "back home".

Sounds like it's time for a public version of the mod using the FC2 F-16 and the F-16 FM. Unless of course you have no interest in recruiting new pilots

And cross training other shows is a great way to improve your skills, flying one show all the time is a sure fire way to get inbred and stir crazy. I highly recommend it. The VPJT, and I AM being arrogant, can currently bust out three different six-ship shows at any given time, as well as decimate ground targets in an A-10C :D

Remember it's still about having fun!

Ells, we're just getting back on our feet so it's a little early to say when, but at some point we'd love to! Right now we're just focused on getting back to flying our demo.

Uh? Is that a disagreement that learning other shows helps your stick skills?
