Normal Diamond Sight Picture
Spacing: Missile rails aligned.
- Step 1: Align the front tip of the Leader's missile rail at the back edge of his canopy for proper fore/aft and vertical stack (this is your primary sight reference line).
- Step 2: While continuing to hold "the line" (described in Step 1), adjust the lateral spacing until the long rivet/fastner row on the vertical tail is aligned with the trailing edge of the Leader's wing (this is your secondary reference used for spacing).
Note: Remember not to judge spacing by the apparent size of the reference aircraft. Always use the alignment instructions for each sight picture (textural description) regardless of monitor size, resolution, padlock / TrackIR / VR or zoom settings.
