AETC FC - Texas 2006

Post by scooter » Wed Jun 21, 2006 12:29 am

You ex-military aviators may appreciate this a little more than others...

I just got back from AETCFC a couple of days ago and thought I'd put a cheesy little slideshow together with some music...so here it is on G Video...

my friend and I went (his thrid time, my second) and had a blast yet again...we arrived a day early so we stayed at Randolph AFB (note the Taj Mahal) but the remainder of the week was at Laughlin (XLent!!!)

Nice job, Scooter. Brought back a bunch of memories of my "ATC" days at Willy. Great stuff for the CAP cadets. Keep up the great work with our future aviators.

Thanks, Bon!

I myself have been a cadet for about 3 1/2 years now and I am working on my PPL. I'm hoping to get a solo in here in the next few weeks, going to get my FAA class III medical tomorrow. I'll have to scan a pic of it and post it on here I suppose :).

--Also, does the name Don Elwood ring any bells? He was stationed up at Willy for a while. He's an older gentleman (retired for almost 10 years now) so maybe he was there just a bit before you were.

Scooter, that name doesn't ring a bell. I was there as a stud. and graduated UPT class 87-07 then stayed on as a T-38 IP until June 1991. Great memories of Randolph AFB, too.
