Wheels in the Air?

Post by Seahawk » Sat Jun 17, 2006 7:33 pm

Hey to let you all know first we decided to open the virtual patrouille swiss we started today and we will build it up the professional way. 2nd thing is when we choose the F-5 Tiger the wheels are 5 feet over the ground. Is there any way to stop that?

Thanks

Nice job! I can't wait to see how well the F-5 does in formation.

You can search and edit the meinit.xml file and change HumanCockpit="no" to read =yes" for the F-5. It will probably default to a Russian flight model though? If you desire to use the F-15 then you may be out of luck with floating wheels...

We know, we have the same problem although not quite as exaggerated...

Human Cockpit=Yes F5

The only problem with the human cockpit=yes F5 is that you have the thrust of the SU-27 and the weight of the F5. You can climb vertically to 100k ft. in full blower. Not very realistic. You also get the SU-27 pit. With the internal fuel load on the F-5 the flight time is fairly short too. If you just want to rocket around though, it's great fun. You can move across the map insanely fast.

Good point! I knew there was more to it than the flight model itself... What about swapping out the F-5 for other models such as the Mig-29 or SU-25 (AFM). Those planes should sit closer to the deck than the Eagle.
