Summer... a nice pair of Reef flip flops, $21.99
School's out... anti-boredom spending money, $9.49 each day
Vacation... discount airfare tickets to a marooned island in Bubba's DHC-2 Beaver float plane, $49
Your first flying lessons... P R I C E L E S S!

Have a blast! I still remember my first lessons vividly from many years ago. I'm sure you'll enjoy it a lot. Where are you starting your lessons?

Well I'm hoping to start this summer. I have a new little sister coming on
June 6, 2006 (6/6/06  ) I am still searching for a place for lessons.
I am hoping to go to my regional airport at Tri-state-areo. I know a friend's cousin who does lessons in terra haute. But he already has his license. and he is at a very big school. He is still thinking if he will be in the military flying jets or an airline pilot. (both fun) Part of my friends couisin's, training was to go to El Centro and help the Blue Angels!

16 to solo, 17 to earn a Private Pilot Certificate (not counting gliders which I believe is a year less). You can still rack up flight time, learn and be the sole manipulator of the controls until you're eligible to solo.

Hopefully you will appreciate what you're about to become.

Honor those who are at where you want to be and become by soaking up everything that thrown at you. It will seen like it is overlaoding you at times, but it will make it that much more appreciated in the end.

I hope it is something that you truely want to learn and not what your parents want. I've seen too much of this in the past; paying for something to keep their childrem you out of their hair or to have them be the youngest on the block to achieve something.

Lastly, don't let anyone talk you into something that you aren't ready for. Seen too many accidents that resulted in the worst.

Do your best and make us proud.

I understand what you are saying. I want to be a pilot. I wanted to fly on my desision. My parents were amazed when I said I wanted to go to flight school. And I willing to take as much time as I can, towards aviation. I love aviation, And I hope to forfill my dream.

Thank you for your words, McFlyII
