Bottom line: there is nothing quite as thrilling as going out to one of the many public air shows across the country any given weekend and watching one of the military or civilian demonstration teams strut their stuff in front of thousands of airplane fanatics. But, if you add to the visual drama in front of you the element of monitoring the team's radio communications, you will experience a whole new perspective of the show that few attendees can realize or enjoy.
The link above contains a .pdf with reported frequencies used by all aerobatic teams, military performers and more during air shows across the country. They offer great reviews on scanners @ www.monitoringtimes.com as well.

Go to the Milcom blog for the latest updates.

You can also search the RadioReference Wiki for updates and new freqs.

For the Blue Angels I see about 9 different frequencies. Should I just go through each one until I find them during tomorrows airshow? I could always hit the scan button but I don't trust it all that much... I just programmed it to the first frequency and here's what my scanner says:

M201AM 237.80000
PRI ATT DLY lo+
Bank 2 Chan 01

I should be able to hear them at the show with one of those frequencies tuned with those settings right? (Never used my scanner at an airshow before).

Right on! Make sure you have them saved as AM. If that particular freq is incorrect, just step to the next one (print the guide and bring it with you).

I'll probobly just end up saving all the frequencies right now so I don't have to sit there figuring it out while they are flying. Thanks LD.

The blog (see top post) has the most current info. The Tbird freqs in the Guide are already out of date, but if you scroll halfway down the blog and you'll be pointed in the right direction...

The blog post from March 31st with two new reported Tbird freqs weren't used the past two weekends in Florida, and half a dozen new freqs have been found for the Tbirds. There's no telling if one of the newer ones is a primary freq, but it was used by the Diamond this past weekend on both days. There's a post in the blog from April 13th with confirmed freqs (so far).
