Never got around to commenting after VFAT. What an amazing piece of history and unique video. I can appreciate all the detail that went into this, the research, limited footage, finding those first hand recollections from those whom are still around to share their stories. What a painstaking undertaking to do this with FSRecorder, but you made a helluva presentation Cobra. This is, and has been, your labor of love for a long time and I'm glad to see it delivered above my expectations!

Interesting footage @ 10:04-10:05; the 2009 Virtual Thunderbirds. 8)

Thanks LD, that means a lot coming from you. I remember the Herculean effort you put into "Smoke On" and the VTB in general so it's very appreciated.

I haven't checked the VFAT forum but I don't think Brian Mercer got on there. That is a shame because he is a true pioneer of formation aerobatics. Hopefully I will be presenting Roger Topp with a DVD version some time in the new year during a quick visit to London.

The next project is to recreate the final Farnborough display of Brian's Blue Diamonds. With all the stuff I have learned to do on FSrecorder it should only take me a fraction of the time that this took.

I will be visiting Brian in Perth to get all the details. He doesn't know it yet but I am going to try to get him to do some of the radio calls... " featuring the voice of Diamond One, SqnLdr Brian Mercer" would be a hell of a thing to have on a trailer!

Thanks again everyone for the kind comments. (I would still love to do this live for the 55th anniversary next year...)
