Calypso BUP - Mustang Style

Post by Lawndart » Thu Jun 28, 2012 2:53 pm

Ray and I were planning on redoing this pass (and add a few other ones), but we never seem to have enough time off together. This was the very first pass we attempted at this particular maneuver. We went back and recorded a much better sortie with several "money shots", but both his and my track had errors. I've been holding onto this clip for a few weeks hoping we'd get another go at it, but with vacations looming and what not, here's the "rough cut" for now:

A little nervous posture, but still awesome. Great job on what I think is a 100% original maneuver! I've never even see that attempted before.

...and you got to see our very first attempt at it, too! ;)

Haha nice vid. I didn't know how far he was going to drop down when he rolled.

As we kept practicing I was getting better at finding a position below and to the right of him prior to his roll that would put me much closer to being in position.

Then we figured out where LD needed to be at the end of the maneuver so he was close to my left wing position on his rollout from inverted.

We'll have to re-do it when you get back from vacation.
