Video of my DCS: P-51 Fun

Post by Ray » Fri May 04, 2012 6:46 pm

Really enjoying flying this thing around, it's a beautiful model both inside and out. Sounds awesome as well. Wouldn't hurt to hear a little more of the supercharger whine though. The FM feels very convincing. Taking off and landing can be a bit tricky.

Playing them both at the same time works well, they're about 4 seconds off though.

Nice flying Ray! I really like your forward slip (like you said: very convincing).

The outside camera being so far right of show center threw me off while looking at the first video, but made more sense after seeing the second one from inside your cockpit. (My hotel-fi couldn't hack streaming both simultaneously).

...but what's up with the "hot wheels"? Looks like your tires caught on fire when spun up. :o

A texture bug which has already been fixed in the new version, now available for download.

Nice flying Ray!

P.S. The characteristic "whine" is actually the sound of the air flowing over the gun ports and shell ejector chutes when the aircraft is at high speed and high AOA. ;)

Finally got a chance to watch both videos at the same time (synched 'em up). That's the way to view it!

Nice showboating! 8)

Only wish there was a single start button for both videos when embedded.
