Axis Tuning
Axis Tuning
Do any of you gentlemen utilize Axis Tuning in the "Options" panel for either your pitch or both; or even others? If you would be so kind, could you please screenshot your axis tunes or provide me the settings you utilize? I'd love to try them out. Thanks!

I'm pretty sure the Berkuts are using 31% based on talk of curves when the new version of Phantom was in process.
The VTB standardized on 40 when the team was flying on force-mod Cougars (ie FSSB). We've been experimenting with slight variations with the Warthog but nothing radical.
I know several other teams are using similar settings, but I don't know specifically who is using what and I'm sure it depends a bit on pilot preference and equipment.

I use 33% curve on X and Y with 10% DZ. There is no perfect curve for everything you might do in a demo.
I still liked FC1 flight model a lot better or the "autotrim" feature. FC2 seems squirley no matter what. I tried to fight it for a while, but you just have to get used to it. LOL
Every 50 hours of flight you might step up a notch...

I took the F-15C out for a spin the other day for the first time in a long time and it was easy. I don't mean that in a negative sense, but I've gotten so used to trimming every plane I fly whether it's the F-16CJ, A-10C or real birds.
I still don't use any curve in-game, but for FC2 I'd reckon the TARGET profile setting is close to a 30% curve.

Ok, maybe autotrim is not the correct term.
I was watching some old tracks from FC1 the other day and they looked so smooth and stable compared to how things look now. Don't get me wrong we look ok, but the flight model is just different in FC2 across the board. It just seems a lot jumpier no matter what I do with curves, FSSB weights, etc. That's my only real complaint, but I've pretty much given up and just tried to live with it.
It just bums me out when I see those older tracks when we looked glued in place compared to now, where I look like I'm fighting the plane the whole time to stay in my box. A lot of down trim helps, but then it seems to scrub speed for rejoins and also change the feel of the pull in loops a bit. Ah well, like I said before I have tried to analyze it for a long time- some people don't really notice too much of a difference but everyone pretty much agrees that it is a lot "touchier". I haven't had time to keep up on my forum reading so I just thought I would post for anyones 2 cents. Kris talked to me a while back on this at the beginning of the year.
It has literally taken me 6 months to get used to this flight model compared to the old one! We didn't adopt FC2 until after VFAT 10.
