The Virtual Red Arrows thank you

Post by Ells » Sat Mar 19, 2011 5:12 pm

Many thanks to everyone that watched our live display and for your very kind comments.
Although we had a few technical difficulties through the show, we are very pleased with our performance.

And, as with every great team, we are very critical in our own performance and will work on improving the things we picked up to make the next show better.

We had great feedback from the FLG event that is was packed with everyone watching the display, including the press.
We also had great feedback from the Frecce Tricolori Virtuali event in Verona.

For those of you that missed the live display, the replay stream is availabe on our channel.

Good luck to the teams displaying next weekend as we look forward to seeing your shows.

I thought it was great. I have let a few members of the Black Arrows know about it and will let you know of any feedback I get.

Repost of what I wrote on the VRA forums:

I finally had a chance to sit down and watch the replay from your live show March 19, 2011.

Really great job everyone!!! Great to see all nine back in the air again. It wasn't flawless ;) ...but very well done, and the calls and narration sounded great too. It's not my job to disect the demo and I know you're probably harder on yourselves than anyone else (as it should be), just wanted to say I enjoyed it and you guys rock. Looking forward to your next show in May. :D

Thanks again LD.

I hope at Weston we won't have the same tech issues like my TrackIR locking up. That Phoenix Bend was a scary moment for Blondie and I when it came back online.

Many thanks Ray.
We had a much better flight last night testing the HD stream out, and even with Ghost and I using the Warthogs for the first time in practice it was pretty darn good.
