What do I install?

I am doing a reinstall and completely blanked out.

I install:
Lock On: Modern Air Combat
Lock On: Flaming Cliffs
Does a patch install occur here? Which one if so?
Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 2

I see "Patch 1.2.1 for "LockOn: Flaming Cliffs 2", do I need that? And where in the install would that go?
What am I missing?

Check the MOAS.

If you're installing FC2, you'll need your original LOMAC copy installed (it only checks during install, then it's not required), and patch FC2 to version 1.2.1.

If you're installing FC1, see How to Install Lock On.


P.S. The latest patch for FC2 is numbered 1.2.1, while the latest patch for FC1 was 1.12b - not to be confused!

Do I not need the 1.12B?

I know how to install them, I was just curious about the sequential order and if I was missing anything in my path. Is the 1.12B or A necessary at anytime during installation?

So I can go:
LOMAC
LockOn:Flaming Cliffs 1
Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 2
Lock On: FC2 1.2.1 patch

Is that how you fellas did your install?

FC1 and FC2 are completely separate games, i. e. you don't need FC1 or any patch for FC1 installed in order to own/play FC2. They both use the original LOMAC disc though, however, in the case of FC2 it only looks for an install of LOMAC and afterwards FC2 shares no files/folders with LOMAC (or a FC1 install if you have one as FC1 does share the LOMAC directory).

FC1 Install Order
LOMAC
Flaming Cliffs
Patch 1.12b

FC2 Install Order
Only needs LOMAC for install, then it's standalone.
Flaming Cliffs 2
Patch 1.2.1

It's easiest if you think of FC1 and FC2 as different games.
