Interesting threads @ Frugal's World

Post by Lawndart » Thu Sep 15, 2005 9:22 pm

Found this thread with speculations about ED making plans for a flyable F-16 at some point after Black Shark. Also read the thread named ED after 1.2 that has some very exciting rumors!

And this thread named Squad Multiplayer bandwidth test results could be of interest to read for hosting multiplayer games.

These threads are relatively old, but still worth while.

In an email I exchanged with Igor Tishin at ED last year, he strongly "suggested" that the Block 52 F-16 as well as a revamped A-10 package are in the works, but these will be stand-alone sims and not necessarily related to LOMAC. More of what used to be termed "study sims", which is what the Falcon sims were, both the Spectrum Holobyte and the later variants.

I myself am looking forward to it. Falcon 4.0 and it's later variants including the latest release featured in PC Aviator still haven't even got the engine start sequence right. That's pretty basic stuff.

It's good that the devs are in touch with the community, but they spend so much time on that, that they don't do that much work. I would rather have an update like every 2 months than a dev with over 1500 posts.
