Wow
This is a bummer, glad he made it out alive.
I'm sure he'll be able to pull through and make a good recovery. I'll be thinking of ya man.

Oh, my gosh! All my best wishes of recovery to Striker, may he recover quickly and fully
And praying for the others, too, and those that didn't make it also.

Everyone, remember to pray for the others as well.
We appear to have good news about our friend and brother. Lots of other people did not get good news.

Alisha Curtis wrote:He is officially in the air out of Afghan and on his way to Germany where they are going to reassess his condition. Dad will be flying out to Germany most likely tomorrow. The craft was carrying 4 crew members and 16 passengers. The 2 crew in the front and 2 passengers did not make it, Christofer was in back, 14 are injured. His vitals are good and heart is strong. Chris, we love you and you are in our prayers, hang in there.

The CV-22 Osprey that is currently in the news was his craft that went down. He is a fighter and we were told that at the crash site he put his own tourniquet on and was actually showing the med how to do it properly. ...That's my brother! I thank all of you for your support and prayers. Christofer is doing well. At this point the question is not survival but rather how long will his recovery be. He had to have a special medvac team to transport him to Germany and so he is currently in the air and will be arriving in about 6 hrs. He is still heavily sedated and will not awake until he gets to Germany w...here they will assess his situation further. The extent of his injuries are not completely known. His pelvis was crushed and will need multiple surgeries to recover; however, any other injuries will be determined once he arrives in Germany. We won't know until most likely tomorrow if he will stay in Germany or be transported to D.C.
