"Dirty" Takeoff

-Folks were saying #6 hit his tail on takeoff, but I believe that to be wrong (reviewing my images I see no way that happened). Over the radio he called out a problem with the HPC (aka high-pressure compressor) in the engine.

-Someone needs to post a shot when 6 was back on the ground with everyone standing behind eyeballing it, I swear the right side nozzle has damage in my shot but I could be wrong. I am at work so I can't post it right now.

-Looks like mud or damage to exhaust and tailhook.

Read on ASB that the Blues didn't practice the day after the incident.

They flew today for the flyover of the Auto Club Race in Fontana.

Good news! I sincerely hope they resume training season promptly so I can enjoy watching the Blues at MacDill next month! 8)

Any further speculation is pointless, I'll leave that to the professionals - the Blue Angels themselves.
