Version?

Hey, I was wondering what version you guys use for the T-birds... I was looking into joining the Virtual Blue Angles and they use lock on modern air combat, but there is also lock on gold, should I get lock on gold anyway just in case its a whole lot better and everyone else might be switching over, or should I get the old one? What is the difference? Ime stuck with a real problom here. Can somebody respond to this?
