It would be a fun event to deal with. :P

Not so much fun... :?

I'm with Raz, having to actually deal with IFE's during a show sounds like fun!

If you want "as real as it gets," that's your way to go. Dealing with emergencies in a strict manner is thrilling once you do it correctly.

Having a practice or a show interrupted isn't very thrilling...

It might be cool if we were doing shows every weekend, but being as we only perform once or twice per year, we probably don't want that one shot at a perfect public performance ruined by something like that.

You need some use of the knock it off procedures, and would be good bloopers for a movie. :P

Those are the kinds of bloopers I don't find funny anymore...

I don't quite see the argument here about simulated bird ingestions. :?

If you don't want to simulate bird strikes, it can be disabled in the .lua script. Otherwise (depending on how it's implemented) it would appear to simulate the real world environment, and add to the realism by having pilots perform and be current on the procedures for air aborts etc.

I don't see how this would hurt the simulation experience, especially when we're in control of the ON/OFF switch.

Exactly, keep it on for practices, turn the frequency down to once every 20-30 flights. Then turn it completely off for internet live shows.

True that Lawndart, I'm just saying they could have shifted their resources elsewhere and made more progress with things people are clamoring for. :D

No, that makes too much sense for ED.

I love when the credits for a teaser are longer than the teaser itself ;)

And here's the first step toward the sliding release date. Notice the first announcement said January 2010, that has suddenly become "Early" 2010.

GA still did a nice job with the video though :D

My first thought too!

Indeed, but it also made me wonder how much GA used Adobe After Effects for the few moments of bliss we got to enjoy!
