Aerobatics is of course possible in FSX.

What this movie shows though is not aerobatic formation flying but synchronized aerobatics.

The reason many people choose LockOn or Il2 to fly aerobatic formations with is because of the netcode and realistic flight modeling. This makes it possible to fly only inches apart without any form of lag and good control close to the real feel when flying formations.

Note that I don't mean that LockOn has better flight modeling compared with other simulators. The LockOn flight model (BS and Su25 excluded) is actually very basic. Only for this one purpose, aerobatic formation flying, the flight models come out far better.

Very nice movie there, a well synchronized show. I know that is not easy at all to achieve, great work!
