Someone can help me?
I'm new to Lock-On and I want to paint my own Italian F-16 skin for LOMAC:

Where can I find a good beginners skin tutorial?
Many thanks to everyone that can help me! :)

If you have any other questions you can PM me or if you have MSN you can add me. Coincidentally I painted that exact scheme about a month ago. ;)

So, yesterday I spent some hours to read some tutorials on the web, but many questions are already on my mind.

Meanwhile I'm still searching the web, all helps are very appreciated. :)

What is the picture I can use to start painting F-16 skin for LOMAC?

LOMAC has a 'base' F-16 picture to use as a basic F-16 skin?
Or I have to use an existing F-16 mod skin to repaint my own skin with Paint Shop (or Photoshop)?

The F-16C skin files:
F-16C-PAINT-DEF-Lx.bmp.dds
F-16C-PAINT-DEF-Rx.bmp.dds

x = a number

Templates for the F-16 (one for the DEF-L; and one for the DEF-R file):
F-16-OKRAS-L
F-16-OKRAS-R

@Fabrizio, check your email. I sent you these two skin templates.

You'll need to be good in PhotoShop to work with these. Please refer to the links I posted previously (in this thread) for tutorials on how to skin in Lock On. Those are the best sources of information I know of to get started. Make sure you have your .dds plugins for PhotoShop as well.

Ok, I see the files and I understand where I must paint to obtain my result, but a couple of questions:

After reading this tutorial:
http://www.simmerspaintshop.com/forums/ ... orial.html
I don't know when I'll be ready with my new L and R files, how can I load those 2 files as a flyable F-16 with ModMan.

In few words, can I create my own F-16 only painting the 2 templates files?

Other (and more detailed) tutorials? :)

problems saving DDS files...

How can I save DDS files with PhotoShop?

I've installed the DDS plugin, it opens correctly (I open without mipmap) .DDS files and tells me that when I have to save I must choose SAVE USING EXISTING MIPMAP...

but when I save the DDS files the program saves nothing and tells me COULD NOT SAVE filename BECAUSE... !

Why won't it let me save the DDS file? (Wrong DDS plugin or something?).
