Amy Butler @ Aviation Week wrote:Boeing unveiled a stealthy version of the F-15, dubbed the "Silent Eagle" today at its St Louis plant. The aircraft has two conformal fuel tanks reconfigured to carry up to two air-to-air or air-to-ground weapons, and tail fins canted outwards 15 deg. to reduce radar cross-section.

Of course you don't..........
I really like the idea that Boeing has put together. With it not seeming like we're going to be getting any new Raptors anytime soon, this might be a happy alternative. I'm sure it would keep the economy in this area (they'd likely be built in St. Louis) going.
Personally, I think we should start trading in our Block 30/32/40/42 Vipers for the newer Block 60 versions with the conformal fuel tanks and the really big mouth GE F110-GE-132 (roughly 4,000 more lbs of thrust than the PW's that are in the Block 52), and then maybe we can start trading our old A and C model Eagles for the "SE" version, that way they can drop bombs as well.

Yea I agree with you Rhino, I think Boeing has the right idea. But the CFT's on the Vipers just look "wrong" to me. My 2 cents.

This is an outrage! It was stolen right out from under my nose. They're even calling it the F-15 SE!
